White Lightning is a 1973 American action film directed by Joseph Sargent and starring Burt Reynolds as the main character Robert "Gator" McKlusky, Jennifer Billingsley, Ned Beatty, Bo Hopkins, R.G. Armstrong, and Diane Ladd (erroneously billed in the opening credits as ?Diane Lad?). It was written by William W. Norton. A sequel, Gator, was released in 1976.
